Episode Summary

In today's podcast, we will audit and edit our current habits to decide what moves us forward and what might be holding us back from showing up in our daily lives as that person in our vision.

Episode Notes

Hi and welcome back!! Before we get started today, I just want to mention that, if you have not listened to the previous two episodes, I would encourage you to start there. Today’s podcast is an extension of the work that we have been doing from those episodes.

In the previous two episodes, we have packed a suitcase full of the stories, self talk, and aspirations that make us feel “real” - and we’ve started to let go of those that no longer fit or that are not needed for our journey. We’ve also set our GPS, creating a 1-year vision and deciding who we will be along with other juicy details of what our lives will look like a year from now.

The next step is to audit and edit our current habits to decide what moves us forward and what might be holding us back from showing up in our daily lives as that person in our vision. This is not an overnight process. I want to make that very clear. If you try to overhaul your entire life in 24 hours, or even in the week in between podcasts, you will create chaos and resistance. You are working toward a 1-year vision because it will take you that amount of time, maybe more to make the changes you need to make and for them to become habits that stick.

You didn’t create bad habits or habits that no longer serve that woman in your vision overnight, so please understand that changing them will be a process, and it will take process.

So, as you audit and edit your daily habits, think of sorting them into these three categories:

KEEP: What habits are currently moving you toward that vision that you’ve created and are allowing you to show up as your authentic self? Definitely keep those!

STOP: What habits are holding you back? What habits do you have currently that that woman in your vision would not have? Those are the habits to stop.

START: What habits would that woman in your vision create? What habits has she implemented that allow her to follow her guiding light feelings and to lean into the beautiful, empowered, authentic woman that she’s become? Those are habits that you want to build into your routine.

I know it sounds so simple, but please believe me - there’s still a lot of work to be done here. The work is totally worth it, so be patient with yourself. Remember, the 1-year vision is there to guide you, giving you direction as you create what you crave in life. Depending on the vision you’ve created, it might take longer, and I want you to know that that’s okay. There’s no time limit or expiration date on your vision, so please don’t short change yourself.

Take your time.

Lean in.

And embrace all that you are and all that you are becoming!
